A third generation hair-stylist, based between Los Angeles and London, Tara Smith is a winner of numerous international awards, including Global Celebrity Hair-stylist of the Year.
She has built her career over the last two decades directing hair-styling for major Holywood productions - from Sex & The City to Quentin Tarantino; developing iconic, red-carpet looks for A-list celebrities at events including the Oscars, Emmys, BAFTA’s, Golden Globes as well as Cannes, Venice, Toronto and Sundance film festivals; and working directly with some of the world's biggest film-stars - from Rosario Dawson, Demi Moore and Patricia Arquette to Matthew McConaughey, Ben Stiller and Gerard Butler.
The Tara Smith brand strapline, “Tested on film-stars, not on animals” is a direct reflection of Tara’s experience working on high-profile red-carpet
events and on set with film stars; many of whom have become ongoing
personal clients as well as life-long friends who continue to provide support,
endorsement and testimonials. These are circumstances where product performance and looking your best is everything and inspired Tara to pioneer cruelty-free, toxin-free, sustainable and 100% Vegan hair care. Tara worked in collaboration with Dr. Roger Barr, renowned Chemist and former R&D lead at The Body Shop to create a nutrient-rich, high-performance hair-care collection that delivered gorgeous, healthy hair. A belief that "what you put on your body is as important s what you put in your body" is a principle at the heart of the Tara Smith DNA, ensuring sustainable, certified organic and vegan products
